NSPA participates in the 23rd International Armoured Vehicle conference

LUXEMBOURG - The 23rd annual International Armored Vehicle Conference (IAV) was held from 23 to 26 January in Twickenham, the United Kingdom, gathering over 900 defence professionals The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) participated in the conference with a keynote speaker.

Mr Marc Nuijten, from the NSPA BOXER System Management Group, presented the Agency's capabilities to the audience and took part in a panel discussion on NSPA's supports to the BOXER fleet, with representatives from OCCAR, the Australian Army and the British Army.

The BOXER is a multi-role, wheeled armoured vehicle that features a common drive module and a selection of detachable mission modules. The NSPA is the hub for the Life Cycle Management and Integrated Logistics Support for BOXER armoured vehicles, relying on the expertise of a dedicated team of 20 NSPA experts (Boxer System Management Group).

Currently, there are almost 700 BOXER vehicles in service with more than a dozen variants with NATO countries (Germany, Netherlands, and Lithuania), for which the NSPA BOXER team provides In-Service Support. In addition, the United Kingdom will soon start the delivery acceptance of more than 600 vehicles, becoming the BOXER largest user.

The Agency will therefore support a modern fleet of more than 1200 BOXER armoured vehicles, through its BOXER Support Partnership.

In addition to the BOXER, through its Support Partnerships, NSPA provides acquisition and in-service support to other land combat vehicles including PzH2000, Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) and High Mobility Artillery Rocket System or HIMARS.
