LUXEMBOURG - On 2 February 2023, the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) hosted the Belgium's Industry Day, welcoming to its headquarters in Luxembourg Ms Ludivine Dedonder, Belgium's Minister of Defence, His Excellency Thomas Lambert, Belgium Ambassador, and representatives from 18 companies in the defence sector.

The Industry Day offered an overview of NSPA capabilities, procurement processes and future business opportunities and enabled industry representatives to present their capabilities and share expertise.

In this time of conflict and uncertainty, Nations are increasing their defence budgets, emptying and replenishing their stocks. We must be ready to answer their call in an efficient, effective and responsive way

Ms Ludivine Dedonder, Belgium's Minister of Defence, closed the event highlighting the importance of developing industrial initiatives and providing sustainment in times of crises.

Our Belgium companies here today have shown we have the technical know-how and skills that can be beneficial for NSPA and other NATO countries", she assured during her closing remarks

NSPA cooperation with Belgian industry has increased over the last year, with contracts awarded to Belgian companies in the defence sector, reaching a record figure of 310 MEUR.

NSPA Industry Days aim to be an interactive forum were the private sector meets with NATO. In this context, the Agency acts as a link between industry and the Nations it supports. Early engagement with Industry therefore remains key.
