Ms Cummings highlighted the value of collaboration, presenting the concept of the Support Partnerships structure, a distinctive feature of NSPA, and mentioning as a case in point the Global Commercially Contracted Satellite Communications Support Partnership (GCC SATCOM SP), established in October 2022 between the United States and Luxembourg. This partnership opened a new era of Space cooperation within NATO and Ms Cummings conveyed her appreciation to Luxembourg Government representatives in the audience for the country's entrepreneurial approach and the strength of its capabilities in this domain.
Ms Cummings asserted that, particularly in the current security environment, the partnership between industry, governments and institutions and the overlap of civilian and military requirements, contribute to effective global defence and security. In this context, she confirmed, "NSPA can be an efficient, effective and responsive platform for durable partnerships with industry and governments to support the mission of NATO, Allied Nations and Partners."
