STRATEGIC AIRLIFT CAPABILITY C-17 DELIVERS SUPPLIES TO UKRAINE ON BEHALF OF LITHUANIA

Pápa, Hungary - On 12 and 13 February 2022, the Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) conducted missions in Ukraine delivering cargo for the Ukrainian Army on behalf of Lithuania.

Lithuania is a member of the 12-Nation consortium comprising the multinational Strategic Airlift Capability, and has 45 flight hours a year to spend on missions of national interests. The Strategic Airlift Capability is a swift solution for strategic airlift for any of its 12 Member Nations. In the past years, it proved to be an essential asset during emergency missions, among others, to deliver COVID supplies, evacuate refugees from Afghanistan, or be a first responder at the Beirut explosions.
