NSPA hosts Finland Industry Day


On 9 June 2022, NSPA welcomed representatives from the Ministry of Defence of Finland, Finnish companies and industry organisation at a Finland Industry Day organised by NSPA at its Headquarters in Capellen, Luxembourg. The event had been postponed since its original schedule in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Ms Stacy Cummings, NSPA General Manager, opened the proceedings, confirming the excellent partnership that NSPA has had with Finland for many years. Ms Cummings explained how NSPA's unique capabilities such as multinational acquisition and through-life maintenance of complex systems, bring evident benefits to all nations involved. 

The Agency provides a legal framework for multinational acquisitions that prioritise interoperability, economies of scale and life cycle support. I look forward to our ongoing and reinforced partnership in the future. Ms Stacy Cummings, NSPA General Manager

LtGen Timo Kakkola, Deputy Chief of Staff, Logistics and Armaments, Finnish Defence Forces Command HQ, stressed the importance of the event in light of the ongoing partnership between Finland and NATO and the opportunity to strengthen the relationship with NSPA and further open Finland national industry to closer cooperation, better participation in procurement and future projects.

NSPA hosts Finland Industry Day

NSPA representatives provided participants with an overview of NSPA capabilities, focusing on the Agency"s procurement process, the registration into the Source File and participation in NSPA business opportunities.

Through featured speakers and bilateral meetings, attendees were provided a platform on which discussing the latest industry trends, technology, products and services. The event facilitated also networking with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior-level executives and decision-makers from the Finnish defence-related community. The event was also an opportunity to share on industry challenges and co-develop future cooperation opportunities.
