NSPA hosts Slovakia Industry Day


LUXEMBOURG - On 8 November 2021, the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) held Slovakia's Industry Day, bringing together military subject matter experts from Slovak Ministry of Defence, representatives from the Permanent Delegation of the Slovak Republic to NATO and Industry representatives from 17 Slovak companies. 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this was the first National Industry Day hosted at NSPA premises since March 2020. The event was inaugurated by Ms Stacy Cummings, NSPA General Manager, and Mr Juraj Mrenica, Ministry of Defence representative. 

A General Orientation Briefing offering an insight into NSPA capabilities was followed by NSPA Procurement overview providing the companies with a better understanding of NSPA procurement processes, rules and regulations. Presentations by the Industry Delegation provided a valuable insight into Slovak Industry offerings.

The afternoon was filled with a series of 15 minutes long B2B Bilateral meetings between NSPA Programmes experts and Slovak companies offering the participants a chance to discuss upcoming business opportunities.

Bringing together NSPA and the industry, the Slovak Industry Day provided a unique platform to share experience and knowledge, and discuss potential opportunities for cooperation in the domains of life cycle management, in-service support and support to operations.

The event was held under controlled Luxembourg CovidCheck system.
