German reservists donate 500 face shields to NSPA

Protection Impuls, a German company managed by German veteran reservists, donates 500 face shields to the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA). This was a gesture of appreciation for the support provided by the Agency to NATO nations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The face shields, produced in Germany, protect against droplets and splashes of liquids, helping to reduce the risk of infection. NSPA will distribute the face shields to the deployed civilian supporting hospital facilities and laboratories in Kosovo or Afghanistan, the NSPA Medical team and staff members employed in workshops, post offices or dining facilities.

"We appreciate this sincere gesture of solidarity. These face shields will help protect our people. We plan to distribute most of them among our frontline staff supporting hospital facilities and laboratories in theatre operations", said Peter Dohmen, NSPA General Manager. "This company is making a great contribution to society. We all need to work together to stop the spread of the virus", he added.

In order to contribute to reduce the risk of infection, Protection Impuls has already donated face shields to the American Red Cross of the US Army Europe, located in Weisbaden (Germany); the US Army and the British Armed Forced located in Germany, among others.
