NSPA Announces adoption of Citi's Global B2B Cards Solutions

NSPA partnership with Citi to deliver best-in-class solutions to customers

Luxembourg, 4 March 2020 - The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) today announced the adoption of Citi's Global B2B Cards Solutions as a new capability in its procurement system.

Peter Dohmen, NSPA General Manager said: "With the introduction of Citi's Global B2B Cards, we are undertaking a transformation of our business to bring innovative solutions to our customers and suppliers, making our processes leaner, faster and more efficient. The adoption of this new capability will be particularly beneficial for the high numbers of low value and low critical procurements. This offers us the possibility to focus our resources on the growing number of more complex purchase orders."

Patrick Fesquet, NSPA Procurement Director added: "The adoption of Citi's Global B2B Cards will bring substantial benefits to NSPA such as streamlining the purchase and payment systems whilst ensuring the fulfilment of rapid payment operations up to 10,000 EUR. This represents a new capability for NSPA, and in placing focus on customer service excellence, data management, reporting tools and innovation.

Steve Robson, EMEA Head of Commercial Cards, confirmed, "Citi is pleased to join forces with NSPA, a global alliance that is equally committed to delivering best-in-class solutions to their users, suppliers and customers to support the critical work that they undertake. The Citi Commercial Cards proposition will offer the unique value of a global footprint, best in class acceptance and data insight tools to partner with NSPA in the achievement of their transformation goals."

NSPA started SAP integration and testing of Citi's Global B2B Cards Solutions in February 2020. The Agency is planning to roll out training from March 2020 in anticipation for the Pilot implementation test from April 2020. Full Operational Capability is expected by January 2021.

Gilda Neiman, Citi Country Officer, Belgium and Head of Public Sector Corporate Banking for Belgium and Luxembourg said: "We thank NSPA for their trust in Citi on this important procurement transformation project. We are proud to serve NATO as a valued client for many years already, providing them with the right solutions for their needs, and look forward to continuing a successful partnership."

About NSPA

The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) brings together, in a single organization, acquisition, logistic, medical and infrastructural capabilities including the related procurement function. As NATO's primary enabler, the Agency's mission is to provide effective and cost efficient multinational solutions to the Alliance, its thirty Nations and Partners.

Since its establishment in 1958, NSPA acquires, operates, and maintains everything through an unbiased link between industry and the nations: from weapon systems to fuel delivery, port services, airfield logistics, medical and catering services or base support services for troops stationed across the world. The Agency enables the consolidation and centralisation of logistics management functions, providing a "cradle to grave" support and allowing its customers to achieve economies of scale. Over 60,000 companies are registered in the NSPA source file, of which 10,000 are actively doing business with NSPA's customers.

NSPA is a customer-funded agency, operating on a "no profit - no loss" basis. The business activity has grown nearly fourfold in the last decade, reaching an annual business volume of €4 billion.

NSPA is headquartered in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, with main operational centres in France, Hungary and Italy. The Agency employs around 1,500 staff and overseeing over 2,500 contractors in NATO's missions across the world. More info: www.nspa.nato.int
