NSPA appoints Allan McLeod as its new Director Life Cycle Management

LUXEMBOURG - The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) has appointed Allan McLeod as its new Director of Life Cycle Management, replacing Mr Rudolf Maus, who retired last September.

Mr McLeod will assume his duties on 1st January 2021. He will manage the Life Cycle Management Directorate, overseeing a team of over 500 experienced staff and delivering logistics support to NATO, its Nations and partners.

I am delighted to have been selected as Director LCM and very much looking forward to getting to know and working with the team. It's an exciting new opportunity for me and I plan to utilise my previous experience and my more current knowledge of the Agency and its staff to quickly make a positive contribution.

Mr McLeod joined the NSPA in 2018 as Deputy Director Support to Operations. Prior to his arrival in the Agency, he served in the British Army for 33 years, the final ten in the rank of Brigadier. He is an experienced logistician, an internationalist and a strategic planner. Mr McLeod served in a wide variety of staff and command posts in the United Kingdom, Germany, Cyprus and France and spent much of his career deployed. Operational and training assistance tours included Northern Ireland, Uganda, Bosnia, Kosovo, Kuwait and Afghanistan.

In addition, he worked for nearly 10 years in the NATO Force Structure, with tours in the French Rapid Reaction Corps and in the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, as Deputy Chief of Staff Combat Service Support. He was an instructor at the UK's Joint Staff College and is a graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies in London.
